Baked Spaghetti Pie

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil.
  3. In a bowl, mix cooked spaghetti with eggs, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  4. Press spaghetti mixture firmly into a greased 9-inch springform pan to form a crust.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes until set.
  6. Meanwhile, cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  7. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Spread meat sauce evenly over the baked spaghetti crust.
  9. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve.

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the ground beef and add sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers.
