A creamy and flavorful garlic parmesan chicken pasta that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz rotini (or penne)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • ¾ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Extra parmesan (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Season chicken with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove, rest, then slice.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen if needed.
  7. Top with sliced chicken.
  8. Garnish with parsley and extra parmesan. Serve hot.

  • Use freshly grated parmesan for best texture and flavor.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
