  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for toasting
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
  2. Add garlic and ground beef. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour in tomato sauce and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture is thick and well combined.
  5. Remove from heat and let the beef mixture cool slightly.
  6. Lay the flour tortillas on a flat surface. Spread a small spoonful of sour cream in the center of each tortilla.
  7. Add the beef mixture, then top with cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Fold in the sides and roll each tortilla tightly into a burrito.
  9. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the burritos seam-side down and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove from the skillet, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.

  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
