  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (optional, for greasing skillet)
  • 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella (or 8 oz fresh mozzarella, torn)
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone or Parmesan (optional, extra cheesy)
  • 2030 pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, thinly sliced into strips
  • Optional for serving: toasted baguette slices, breadsticks, tortilla chips, crackers, or veggies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease an oven-safe skillet (9–10 inch) with olive oil.
  2. Spread pizza sauce evenly in the skillet. Stir in Italian seasoning.
  3. Sprinkle mozzarella (and provolone/Parmesan if using) over the sauce.
  4. Arrange pepperoni slices on top and scatter green pepper strips over the cheese.
  5. Bake 15–18 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  6. Broil 1–2 minutes for extra browned, bubbly spots (watch closely).
  7. Rest 5 minutes, then scoop and serve with breadsticks, chips, or toasted baguette.
