Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles or thick spaghetti
  • 8 oz flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups baby bok choy, chopped
  • 1 cup carrots, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Add the shrimp to the same pan and cook for 2–3 minutes, until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside with the beef.
  5. Add the remaining vegetable oil to the pan. Stir in garlic, ginger, carrots, and bok choy. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Add the cooked noodles, beef, shrimp, and sauce back into the pan. Toss everything together until the noodles are fully coated and the sauce is glossy and thickened.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve hot.

Notes
