A flavorful Middle Eastern beef kebab platter with grilled skewers, hummus, pita, and fresh salad.

  • 1 1/2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cucumber, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup hummus
  • 4 pita breads, warmed and cut into wedges
  • 1 cup tabbouleh
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, for drizzling
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, coriander, and allspice in a large bowl.
  2. Add beef cubes and toss to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
  3. Thread beef onto skewers evenly.
  4. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until charred and cooked to preference.
  6. Combine tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Toss well.
  7. Spoon hummus into bowls, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika.
  8. Arrange skewers, hummus, pita, tabbouleh, and salad on a serving board.
  9. Serve immediately.
